My Topic
I have always thought that special needs children are shunned and are not given as much opportunity as regular high school students. I wanted an answer why because I believe if they are more involved in normal high school activities it would make a positive impact on both their lives and ours.
My Product
I learned from my research that special needs kids do, indeed, benefit from involvement in regular high school sports and activities. I am volunteering at the Miracle League of Smithfield and helping out with some of the special needs classes at Clayton high. The Miracle League will give me a chance to help a special needs child play baseball. I also volunteer with the life skills class at Riverwood Middle and will continue to do this through out the course of this year.
